John was such a funny, ornery guy. I have not worked at Brookwood through Covid, just managed activities from afar. But I still occasionally dropped off supplies and got to see him. He always had a smile, although sometimes I had to pry it out of him. He liked to be “grumpy” at first, and then I could usually get him to end of laughing. He loved Dorothy, and I often got to help him with his kindle when she was alive and they would quietly read together. I’m so sorry for his loss, but take comfort knowing his is reunited with Dorothy again.
