Frank J. Dull, 78, of Ashland, passed away Friday evening, August 21, 2020 at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center.

Frank was born in Ashland on June 15, 1942 to the late Charles D. and Lenna E. (Emminger) Dull and had been a resident of Ashland all his life.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1959 to 1963 and had served on the USS Mt. McKinley.
He worked as a lineman for Ohio Edison for over 30 years and was also a trouble truck driver for the company, retiring in 2004.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a member of the USS Mt. McKinley reunion group and a former member of the Ashland County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed working in his garden, had bowled in the singles and mixed doubles leagues at LuRay Lanes, and watching the Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams. He played fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball for the Nankin Federated Church and the Steiner Mobil softball teams. Frank had coached the Nankin Youth League Girls softball team when his daughters played, and he was always looking for a good garage sale or going to a flea market.
He is survived by his three daughters, Amy Dull of Cary, NC; Abby Martin and Anne Dull both of Ashland; a granddaughter, Charlie Martin (Keri); two sisters, Diane (Jerry) Kirkpatrick of Wellington; Rosemary Dull of Ashland; three brothers, David (Beverly) Dull, George Dull and Ed (Pat)Dull all of Ashland, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold and Clyde Dull, and his former wife Saundra Dull.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jake Heskett officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Nankin Cemetery. The Ashland Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the funeral home prior to the Celebration of Life Service.
