Myron A. Tennant, 85, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday morning, August 18, 2020 at Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield following a lingering illness.

Myron was born in Ashland on June 22, 1935 to the late George and Ruth (Starrett) Tennant. He had been a resident of Ashland his entire lifetime.
He started his working career as a truck driver/delivery man for the Ashland Equity. He then worked as a truck driver for the Gilbert Furniture Company for many years and retired from Hawkins Market where he was the grocery manager for the Center Street store.
He served his country as a member of the Ohio Air National Guard.
He was a member of the Shenandoah Christian Church and the Adult Sunday School class. He was a former member of the Clear Creek Church of Christ where he was an Adult Sunday School Leader. He enjoyed cutting and splitting wood, which helped his neighbors, and doing gardening and traveling with his wife.
On April 27, 1958 he married Betty E. Smeltzer who survives him. Also surviving are two daughters, Dana Widder of Coshocton; Karen (Harry) Myers of Nankin; one son, Steve (Patricia) Tennant of Wooster; Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, Heidi (Justin) Krave and their children Amelia & Klara; Ethan Widder and Luke Widder and his companion (Kaylee) and their daughter Kaisley; Jennifer (Clayton) Deighan, Mary (Manik) Sheeri and David (Alyssa) Tennant; and one sister, Georgia Bonecutter of Ashland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020at 10:00 a.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and also on Saturday, August 22, one hour prior to the service time. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah Christian Church, 5642 St. Rt. 13 N., Shiloh, Ohio 44878.
