Ronald F. Beddow, 89, of Ashland, passed away Friday evening July 24, 2020 in Lutheran Village. He was born in rural Delaware, Ohio the son of the late Clyde and Edna (Browning) Beddow. Ron was a graduate of Brown High School in Delaware Ohio.

Ron relocated to Ashland from Columbus in 1968. He was an Allstate Insurance agent for 25 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed playing golf where he was known by his buddies as “The Fox”. He enjoyed sailing the Great Lakes, bowling (two 300 games), and playing the occasional game of poker at the casinos. He was a former member of the Ashland Elks BPOE 1360 and the Ashland Eagles.
Ron is survived by his son Kenneth (Marie) Beddow of Lexington, Ohio and a daughter Kathryn (William) Butcher of Craigsville, West Virginia. He was blessed with four granddaughters, Katelyn (Josh) Parson, Angela (Pat) Lynch, Melissa (Danny) Light, and Rebecca (Steve) Humphreys; two grandsons, Nicholas (Jessica) Beddow and AJ Beddow; great-granddaughters, Isabella (Izzy) and Emylie (Emy) Parson, Molly Lynch, Hanna Light, and Kaylynn Light; two great-grandsons, Ryker Beddow and William Lynch; two nieces, Linda (Vince) Boyd and Leona (Rick) Salyer; one nephew, David Beddow; special friends, Raymond and Cherie Dever, and Ron Comstock; and his cat Ollie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Jan (Warner) Beddow and three brothers; Raymond, Dale, and Lowell Beddow.
A memorial service will be Wednesday July 29, 2020 at 4 P.M. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Olsen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 P.M.
