Breanne Renee Crossen, 41, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday morning, March 4, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born December 27, 1978 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Roger and Gail (Faren) Crossen. She had been a resident of Ashland County for most of her life. She was a graduate of Mapleton High School’s class of 1997 and a graduate of North Central State College and the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services.
She had been employed as a case worker with Richland County Children Services.
Breanne was a member of the Nova Community United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing volleyball, darts, euchre, softball, and singing karaoke, with her signature song being Loretta Lynn’s “ You Ain’t Woman Enough to Take My Man”.
Breanne is survived by her daughter, Taylor DeLosh of Ashland, her mother and step father, Gail Crossen (Jim Gornall) of Nova, her sister, Kerry (Mike) Reisinger of Nova, her grandmothers, Dorothy Crossen of Polk and Rose Faren of Nova, two nieces, Paige and Emily Reisinger and one nephew, Ethan Reisinger, aunts, uncles and cousins and her faithful furry companion, Chloe May Crossen.
She is preceded in death by her father, Roger A. Crossen in 2018; her paternal grandfather, Robert R. Crossen; and her maternal grandfather, Oren Faren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held this Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harry Finkbone officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland County Cancer Association, 1011 E. Main Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
