Theresa B. Moffett, 93 of Ashland passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in the Kingston of Ashland.
She was born on June 18, 1926 in Ashland, the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Marie R. (nee Yeagle) McKay.
She graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1945. Theresa married the love of her life, Jack P. Moffett on July 20, 1950.
Theresa was employed at A.L. Garber Company, Kemper Insurance of Syracuse, NY and retired in 1998 from Ashland University.
She was a devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church. Throughout her life, she has enjoyed attending both children and grandchildren events and making floral arrangements for her family and loved flowers.
Theresa was proud of her Irish heritage and was fortunate to travel to Ireland, her father’s birthplace, two times with her family.
She is survived by six daughters, Monica Moffett of Ashland, Maureen (Alan) Murrow of Green, Nancy (Bruce) Pfieffer of Mansfield, Kathleen Moffett of Ashland, Annette (Charles) Windland of Sugar Grove, and Cecilia Hesch of Castalia; two sons, Jack Daniel (Cheryl) Moffett of West Palm Beach, Florida and Matthew James (Silvano) Moffett of South America; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Theresa is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years of marriage, Jack P. Moffett who passed away on May 24, 2006; two sisters, Mary McKay and Cecilia Raby; and one brother, Patrick McKay.
A graveside service will be held, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ashland Cemetery with Father Rod Kreidler officiating. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Edward Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Edward Catholic Church, 501 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
