Everett C. Shonkwiler, 88

Everett was a life-long member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, where he served as treasurer, taught Sunday School, was involved with the youth, and served on church council for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Mary Marie “Mimi” Shonkwiler of Ashland; one son, Todd (Glenda) Shonkwiler; a granddaughter, Maddie Mae Shonkwiler; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Everett is preceded in death; two brothers, Dale and Paul Shonkwiler; and one sister, Thelma Hyatt.

Thoughts going out to the entire family. I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know Everett — if only while working on taxes once a year. He was a man who made a difference in many ways.
