Kenneth D. Bunch, 66
Kenneth D. Bunch, 66 of Polk passed away on December 6, 2019 with his family by his side.
Ken was born on July 6, 1953 in Cleveland to the late Kenneth and Lillian (nee Dzedzina) Bunch.
He spent his first 10 years living in Cleveland with his parents and his Rusyn grandparents. They then moved to Elyria. He graduated from Elyria High School in 1972. Ken married his high school sweetheart, Rochelle “Shelly” Drake in 1974 and they were married 45 years.
He worked for Ford Motor Lorain Assembly for 30 years and was a proud member of the UAW. After retirement, Ken and Shelly moved to Polk where Ken enjoyed delivering meals for the Ashland County Council on Ageing and was zoning appeals board member for Jackson Township.
He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, fishing, and boating. If he was inside, he was watching the Indians or sharing his old vinyl records with his family. Ken’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. Besides his wife Shelly, Ken is survived by his son, Kenneth (Tina) Bunch II of Austin and their children, Alina, Kira, and Laila; and daughter, Karen E. (Brian) Tarpy of Columbus and their children Jack and Brooke. Also surviving is his uncle, Mike Dzedzina of Westlake and his aunt, Helen McCue of North Olmsted; and many cousins and friends.
