Daniel L. Kliner, 78 of Ashland passed away peacefully, Wednesday morning, October 16, 2019 in his home.
He was born on April 10, 1941 to the late Harry and Mary A. (nee Blazvick) Kliner in Greentown, Ohio.
Dan was a 1960 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Canton. He married Eileen (nee Kalafus) on January 9, 1965 and they were married 54 years.
He retired from dairy farming in 2002. Dan was a classic car enthusiast. He was one of the founders of the downtown car show in Ashland. Dan was a member of the Vette Set Corvette Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen Kliner of Ashland; two daughters, Kris (Mike) Kearns of Yellow Springs, OH and Karen (Don) Alsop of Ashland; one son, Dan (Michelle) Kliner of West Salem; and eight grandchildren, Kaitlin and Alexandra Kearns, Stephen and Megan Alsop, Kaleb, Kourtney, Kolton, and Makayla Kliner.
In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by three sisters; and three brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Rod Kreidler officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday, October 18, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church, 501 Cottage Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or Pathways Hospice, 1171 East Main Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
