Wanda was born in Grafton, OH, on July 9, 1921, daughter of Earl and Vievah (Roosevelt) Rollins. She was predeceased by her sister Inez Reely and Inez' husband, Ralph. Wanda attended Cardington High School and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in the summer of 1942. On October 11, 1942, she was married to Cloyd C. Shank. Other than a short stint doing private duty nursing, Wanda spent her career as an RN at Samaritan Hospital. Her chosen profession was perfect given her incredible kindness and caring nature. She kept up with her nursing friends long after retirement and was an active member of the alumni association. Wanda enjoyed playing cards with family and friends throughout her life. She was always an animal lover. Those who knew them will long remember the beautiful schnauzers cherished by Cloyd and Wanda in their later years. First and foremost in her heart was the time she was able to spend with her family and longtime friends.
Wanda was a loving wife to her husband, Cloyd, and devoted mother to her son Rollin (Judy) Shank of Simsbury, CT and daughter Lu Ann (Mark) Sadowski of Copley, OH. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Shank of Piscataway, NJ, Jeffrey (Melanie) Shank of Chicago, IL, Jennifer (Davin) Hill of Hilliard, OH and Stacey Sadowski of Medina, OH. In addition she leaves six great-grandchildren, Claire, Whitney and Abram Shank, Hayley Ortiz and Madeline and Owen Hill.
